INFRASTRUCTURE OF IMS-R

In 1996, IMS-R was established at 4th Km from Roorkee on Roorkee-Delhi National highway, sprawling over an impressive land scaped two acres campus. Besides having decently furnished & well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms/lectures halls, a well appointed conference room, and an adequate, well furnished and audio/visual equipped auditorium. Keeping pace with the over all development of Roorkee town, IMS-R has been shifted to its new location havin more then 3 acres area at 10th Km from Roorkee on Delhi-Dehradun national highway, near Bhagwanpur - an area which is developing very fast as hub of industrial as well as institutional units after the formation of Uttarakhand State.
New campus is spread over three acres of land and its three-storied academic block is ready for occupation having covered area of about 4,000 sq.m. The academic block has twenty spacious class rooms, each having carpet area of 100 sq.m., a library hall of 250 Sq. m carpet area, a large size computer center of 250 sq.m, spacious and well equipped auditorium, conference room & separate common rooms for girls & boys. The construction of on-campus hostel for staff residence is in the offing.
COMPUTER LAB
IMS, Roorkee computer center is equipped with state-of-art Networking technology, having 145 computers with latest Pentium IV Processor. The computer center has got licensed software Windows XP/NT, Antivirus, Tally, Visual Basic, Visual Java, MS Office, Page Maker, Coral Draw, C & C++. Computer center is equipped with adequate number of Dot Matrix, Desk Jet & Laser Printers. Computer center consists of client-server Architecture and high-speed multi-services enable INTERNET / IP structured network infrastructure.
Free access to Internet facility is available to all students round the clock. At present, Broad Band connection with 1024 kbps speed is available. VSET facility is planned for future. Well Qualified and highly trained professionals guide the students to learn computer skills.
We have Wi-Fi internet environment through-out the campus thereby encouraging the student to browse on their laptops in the green & serene environment of the campus, away from the hum-drum of the lab.
LIBRARY
The IMS-R Library is equipped with more then 10000 volumes of books having more than 3000 titles. In 2006-2007 more than 1000 new books with new titles/ new authors on all subjects related to Management have been added. The Library has more than 83 national & international magazines and journals. English and Hindi newspapers of national level, magazines are contributed adequately.
The carpet area of the Library is 250 sq.m. having seating capacity of 100 students. It is well equipped with state of art Audio / Visual Cassettes/ CDs, reprographic facility and is fully computerized. Library is open from 09:00am to 09:00pm.Text book loan scheme is available to student on payment basis.In the coming days the Library will be made partially digital through subscription to e-journals and accumulation of latest technical printed and latest reference books.
HOSTEL & CAFETERIA
Separate hostel accommodation is available for girls & boys which is fully with all basic amenities like generator / inverter, regular water supply, TV, telephone & indoor recreational facilities. Mess services are available on actual cost basis.
In-campus well equipped canteen is available where tasty & healthy snacks, beverages, fast foods & regular meals are served at reasonable prices fixed by Institute. This facility gives an opportunity to the students for interacting while tasting the food of their choice in a hygienic environment.
